Writing & Drawing (presentation)
2020|Projection, Screen GIF Loop, Book, Ink, Pen, Paper|Dimensions Variable|Underground Museum
(left: Electronic Calligraphy, right: sketching table, Writing & Drawing, floor: left-hand side)
This is a joint exhibition of three works, "Electronic Calligraphy," "Writing & Drawing," "left-hand side", and "Sketch Table."
At that time, I was interested in the problem of transforming drawing lines, which are generally used for dragging and dropping strokes, into visual display images. In short, I wanted to display some ordinary drawing lines, whether they are words or pictures, whether they are in a notebook or other digital materials, whether they are moving or non-moving, or whether they seem to be large-sized sketches of paintings, but in fact they are not sketches; in fact, I just thought of them as "paper that looks more like a piece of artwork that can be exhibited". In fact, I just think of it as "paper that looks more like a work that can be exhibited.
